Eye Exams, Eye Treatment, Co-Management for Eye Surgeries
Our primary concern is making sure that you have the best eye health possible. We’ll spend time with you in order to determine the best solution for your eye care needs. Though we do prescribe glasses and contacts, we do so much more. Our profession has evolved over the last 15 years and we are better able to treat and manage eye problems and diseases.
We offer comprehensive eye exams, which include a refraction (determination of your prescription), an evaluation for cataracts and glaucoma, and a retinal evaluation to detect detachments or degenerations. We investigate any problems associated with diabetes or high blood pressure. We also have a new instrument called an optical coherence tomographer (OCT), which enables us to diagnose and manage many retinal diseases.
Once we have evaluated your specific eye care needs, we are able to do what is necessary to treat and manage them. We treat glaucoma and macular degeneration, we follow diabetics for retinopathy, and we co-manage cataract and LASIK surgeries.
We also treat eye infections, abrasions, and foreign body removal.
And, of course, we provide fittings and follow-up care for contact lenses, including soft daily wear, disposable, gas permeable, and bifocal and toric lenses for astigmatism.
Optos® Retinal Imaging
To maintain our standard of care, we are integrating the Optos® retinal image screening into all of our routine exams at our Bloomington location.
The optomap® image can detect early signs of health and/or ocular conditions before vision becomes impaired, while also potentially eliminating need for dilation by capturing an ultra-widefield retinal image.
